दिशा सालियान केस में CBI की FIR में 50 से ज्यादा नाम, फिर भी कोई आरोपी नहीं? जानिए क्या है पूरी कहानी!

The case of Disha Salian’s death is once again in the headlines after about six and a quarter years. On September 2, 2026, the Bombay High Court had ordered to hand over the investigation of the case to CBI on the petition of Disha’s father Satish Salian. The court had directed the CBI to appoint a senior and experienced investigating officer, record the statement of Satish Salian and register an FIR on the basis of that. Also, the court had made it clear that no person will be considered an accused until sufficient grounds are found in the investigation.

After this order of the court, on September 11, CBI recorded the statement of Satish Salian. According to his lawyer, in this statement that lasted for several hours, he made serious allegations regarding the death of his daughter. Satish Salian claims that Disha was gang-raped, then she was murdered and after that an attempt was allegedly made to destroy the evidence. These allegations are currently part of the investigation and are yet to be independently confirmed in the CBI investigation. About 48 hours later, on 13 September 2026, CBI disha salian FIR registered in the case of death.

In the FIR, Aditya Thackeray, Rohan Roy, Dino Maurya, Sooraj Pancholi, Aditya Thackeray’s bodyguard, Rhea Chakraborty, Rhea’s brother Shouvik Chakraborty, police officer Sachin Waze, then Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, DCP Vishal Thakur, Uddhav Thackeray, then Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, API Ashok Devade, PI Jagdev Kalapad, PI Shailendra Nagarkar, PI Cheemaji Adhav, PI Arjun Rajne, the concerned police officer of Malwani police station, the doctor and staff who delayed the postmortem, Kareena FSL’s doctor Sanjay Jadhav, NP Bhale the then concerned PI and other police officers, security guards of Ridgeon Galaxy Building Sushil Kumar Yadav and Shivmurad Gautam, Preeti Rane, Praveen Rane, Ankita Satur, Indranil Vaidya, Deep Ajmera, Himanshu Shikhare, Resha Padwal, Satwant. The names of Singh, Naved Mujawar, Priyesh Rane along with all the senior police officers of SIT and other unknown people are also registered.

But it is important to understand one very important thing here. Registration of a person’s name in the FIR does not in itself prove that the person is an accused. According to available reports, these names have been brought under investigation. In its order dated September 2, the Bombay High Court had also directed that no one should be considered an accused unless the investigating officer has sufficient material to give rise to reasonable doubt. That means there is a legal difference between being named in the FIR and being made an accused.

Actually, Satish Salian’s lawyer says that the people and incidents mentioned in the statement recorded before the CBI have been included in the FIR. Therefore, it would not be correct to directly consider the long list of names recorded in the FIR as the list of accused. Now all these names and their alleged roles will be investigated by CBI and only the evidence emerging during the investigation will decide against which person further action is taken.

Was Disha’s death murder?

Disha Salian’s father has been raising questions about his daughter’s death for a long time. In the year 2025, he approached the Bombay High Court and demanded a re-investigation of the case. Her lawyer claimed in the court that Disha was first sexually assaulted and then murdered. It was also alleged that influential people and police officers played a role in suppressing the case. Confirmation of these allegations is still a matter of CBI investigation.

On the other hand, initial investigation into Disha Salian’s death Mumbai The police did it. His death was considered a suicide in the police investigation. In the closure report of Mumbai Police, which came out in March 2025, Disha’s death was described as suicide and her mental problem was mentioned. That is, now the most important question before the CBI is whether any new and concrete evidence different from the old findings comes to light.

Sushant Singh Rajput What is the connection with his death?

Disha Salian died on 8 June 2020, while Sushant Singh Rajput died on 14 June 2020. There was a gap of only six days between the two incidents. Disha was also Sushant’s manager for some time. For this reason, many claims have been made on social media linking the two deaths. Satish Salian has also been saying that there is a connection between his daughter’s death and Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

He claims that Disha had some information which she had shared with Sushant and that is why both the cases should be linked. But this claim has not been proved at the level of investigation. The CBI, which had investigated Sushant’s death, while filing the closure report in the courts in March 2025, had said that in the available investigation, no evidence of any conspiracy or foul play was found in his death.

This is the reason why CBI investigation now becomes important regarding the alleged connection between Disha and Sushant’s death. If any concrete link is found between the two cases in the investigation, then it will become a part of the investigation. But on the basis of a difference of only six days and Disha being Sushant’s manager for some time, it would not be correct to consider both the incidents as part of the same conspiracy before the conclusion of the investigation.

What happened that night?

On the intervening night of 8 and 9 June 2020, Disha was at her fiance Rohan Roy’s house on the 14th floor of Regent Galaxy Society located in Malad area of Mumbai. Apart from Rohan Roy, four other friends were also present there. According to the police, Disha fell down from the window of the house late at night and died.

In the initial investigation, the police had interrogated the people present at the party and Disha’s family members. According to the police, during interrogation no one had raised suspicion on any person regarding Disha’s death. Police had also said at that time that Disha was worried about some projects and due to this her mental condition could have been affected. However, now CBI is investigating the circumstances of this entire incident afresh.

After Disha’s death, a different story surfaced on social media. It was claimed that many influential people were present in the party, Disha was gang-raped and murdered and later her body was thrown down. It was also claimed on social media that Disha had told something to Sushant Singh Rajput before her death and that is why both the cases were linked. These claims were not confirmed in the police investigation at that time and now the CBI has to examine the evidence in relation to these also.

CCTV and investigation records also under investigation

According to Mumbai Police, the CCTV footage of the night of the incident was part of the investigation and no such evidence was found in them, which could prove the possibility of murder in Disha’s death. Now CBI can re-examine all aspects including old CCTV footage, call records, digital and forensic material, documents related to postmortem and statements of people present that night.

Bombay High Court has also not limited the scope of investigation to just one person in its order. The court has asked CBI to investigate all aspects related to Disha Salian’s death. It was also made clear that if no sufficient material is found in the investigation, then CBI will have to file its report before the court.

The biggest question before CBI?

Now the investigation of this case is under the supervision of CBI officer Seema Pahuja. Seema Pahuja CBI’s Delhi Special crime There is an SP in the unit and his name has been linked to famous investigations like Gudiya case of Hathras, Unnao, Himachal Pradesh and RG Kar Medical College case of Kolkata. In the Disha Salian case, he is faced with the challenge of re-examining the events of about six years old, old statements and available evidence.

At present, the most important thing in this case is that CBI has registered FIR and investigation has started. The presence of names of many famous people in the FIR does not mean that all of them have been declared accused. The order of Bombay High Court is clear in this case that no person will be considered an accused before sufficient material is obtained. Now only the evidence emerging in the investigation will decide what actually happened on the night of Disha Salian’s death and whether the allegations made by her father are confirmed or not.
