In the notice sent by Salman, there has been a demand to immediately stop the development and promotion of the film. The notice states that the film is allegedly inspired by the blackbuck poaching case and may harm the actor’s image.

Besides, it can also affect the ongoing legal process. Salman’s legal team says that no permission has been taken from the actor for this.

Teaser was to come on June 20

Let us tell you that the poster of the film ‘Black Deer’ based on the black deer hunting case related to Salman was released on Friday. It was said that the first look and teaser of the film will be released on June 20.

Talking to IANS about the film, the film’s producer Amit Jani had said, ‘In 1998, Salman Khan was accused of hunting black buck in Kankani village of Jodhpur. The courtroom drama, crime, thriller and the rivalry between Lawrence and Salman Khan related to that case have been presented in film form. The shooting of the film has been done in Sambhal, Moradabad and other cities of Uttar Pradesh.

Black buck hunting case came to light in 1998

The black buck hunting case related to Salman Khan came to light in the year 1998, when he was shooting for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Jodhpur. A total of four cases were registered against Salman. These included two Chinkara hunting cases, one Kankani black buck hunting case and one Arms Act case.

Along with Salman, a case was also registered against Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam on the complaint of Bishnoi community in the black buck hunting case. Salman Khan was arrested for the first time in these cases on 12 October 1998, although he later got bail.

In April 2006, Salman was sentenced in the chinkara hunting cases. In January 2017, he was acquitted in the Arms Act case. At the same time, on April 5, 2018, he was sentenced to 5 years in jail and a fine of Rs 10,000 in the black buck hunting case. The rest of the artists were acquitted in the same case.

Later Salman got bail. At present this matter is pending in Rajasthan High Court. After the hearing held in May 2026, the court has fixed the next hearing for July 13, 2026. Salman Khan is currently out on bail.

Lawrence had expressed his displeasure on Salman

It is noteworthy that Lawrence Bishnoi has publicly said that he is angry with Salman Khan regarding the black buck hunting issue. In an interview given to ABP News from jail in 2023, he had said that killing Salman Khan is the aim of my life.

At the same time, in the year 2024, there was firing outside Salman’s house (Galaxy Apartment), the responsibility for which was taken by Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother sitting abroad, Anmol Bishnoi.
