This case was to be heard in Chengalpattu Family Court, Chennai, but the court has now postponed it and fixed the next date for mid-June. According to ANI report, the case was listed at number four on the court’s agenda and the hearing took place before Justice Sasikala. However, after a brief hearing the court adjourned the case and directed both the parties to appear in person in the next hearing. Later the court extended the hearing date to June 15. According to reports, Vijay’s lawyer told the court that the actor is currently busy in political activities and election campaigning, so it may be difficult for him to appear in person. He had also sought permission to appear through video conferencing. This divorce case has been in the headlines since Sangeeta filed the divorce petition. According to reports, he has cited differences in marriage and other personal reasons. Since then, this case has been continuously moving forward in the legal process and every hearing is under the watch of media and fans. Meanwhile, the court has given clear instructions to both the parties that their presence will be necessary in the next hearing, so that a decision can be taken on the further legal process in the case. Vijay and Sangeeta were married in 1999 and have two children. This couple was not in the news for a long time regarding their personal life, but this legal dispute has once again brought them into the headlines. Now all eyes are on the next hearing on June 15, where the next turn in this high-profile case will be decided.
