Tamil Nadu Transport Minister SS Sivasankar on Friday made a controversial statement about Lord Rama. According to a report in The Hindu, he has said that there is no archaeological evidence or historical record to prove the existence of Lord Rama.

Speaking at an event to mark the birth centenary of Rajendra Chola at the Brihadeeswarar Temple in Ariyalur district, Shivshankar said: We are celebrating the birthday of Chola dynasty emperor Rajendra Chola because we have evidence like inscriptions.

He said that we do not have any evidence to trace the history of Lord Ram. If Ram was an incarnation then he could not have been born, if he was born then he could not be God.

Shivshankar said- Karunanidhi was against Ramayana and Mahabharata
Shivshankar said that it was claimed that Lord Ram lived 3,000 years ago. The aim of these claims is to mislead the society. Their aim is to suppress the history of Tamils. Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi had already understood the wrong intentions of these people.

Karunanidhi took many steps to protect and promote the culture of Tamils. He clearly presented the identity of Tamils ​​to the society. Karunanidhi was against Ramayana and Mahabharata. Ramayana and Mahabharata have been imposed for many centuries.
