There was a phone conversation between PM Modi and US President Trump for about 40 minutes. During this, both the leaders discussed the Iran war and emphasized that Hormuz should remain open. PM Modi wrote on social media-
I got a call from my friend President Trump. We talked about the work and progress made between the two countries in different fields. We also said that we will further strengthen the relationship between India and America in future.
This was the first conversation between the two leaders after the US-Iran ceasefire. US Ambassador Sergio Gore said that during the phone call, PM Modi told Trump, “The people of India like you.” On this Trump said that we all love you.
American Ambassador said- Big agreement between India and US soon
Sergio Gore has said that the issue of siege of Hormuz was discussed between Prime Minister Modi and US President Trump. He also said that major energy related agreements are expected between India and America in the coming days and weeks.
Gore has said that relations between India and America are strong. Cooperation between the two countries is continuously increasing and work is being done together on many important issues.

Second conversation between Trump and Modi in 20 days
Earlier, there was a phone conversation between PM Modi and Trump on March 24. In that conversation, both the leaders talked about the situation in the Middle East. Prime Minister Modi had said that India wants tension to be reduced and peace to be restored as soon as possible.
He also stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure, because it impacts the economy of the entire world.
Regarding this conversation, the New York Times, quoting unidentified American officials, had said that Elon Musk had participated in the conversation between the two leaders.
“On Tuesday, Elon Musk participated in a phone conversation with President Trump and Prime Minister Modi of India, an unusual appearance by a private citizen at a conversation between two heads of state during a wartime crisis,” The New York Times reported.
However, the Indian government had denied all these claims and termed all the reports as false.
