Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro said these things in an interview to Bloomberg Television.

Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro on Wednesday called Ukraine Jung ‘Modi War’. He has accused Modi of playing double games and promoting it.

In Bloomberg television interview, he said that India purchases cheaper oil from Russia and refine it and sells it at a higher price.

This gives Russia money for war and attacks Ukraine. Along with this, Navaro warned that India’s growing relations with Russia and China can become a threat to the world.

He said- India you are meeting with dictators. China captured Aksai Chin and many of your areas. And Russia? Let it also go. These are not your friends.

Navaro said- America damage to America by buying Russian oil

Navaro said, ‘Modi is a great leader, India is a democracy country, yet he puts eyes in our eyes and says that we will not stop buying Russian oil. Now what does this mean? ‘

Navaro accused Russia of running a war machinery with the money received from the oil sold to India. He said- Russia attacks Ukraine and kills the people there. Then Ukraine comes to us and Europe and says that give us more money. In this way American taxpayers are damaged.

Navaro argued that Indian refineries buy cheap Russian crude oil to earn profit and then Indian refinery along with Russian refinery sells it to the rest of the world at a high price. This causes damage to America.

Navaro called Modi aerogant

Navaro also rejected India’s claims on oil imports and accused Modi of being Arogant (arrogant). He said that India has enough to buy 1.5 million barrels of Russian oil every day, to buy weapons, drones and bombs to kill Ukranian.

This comment comes at a time when the US has imposed 50% tariff on Indian goods. The move is expected to affect India’s 66% exports to America. Bilateral trade between Indo-US in 2024–25 was $ 131.8 billion.

Navaro said- India cheats in trade

India exporters have warned India to lose jobs and cancel the order from high tariffs. A textile industry official told PTI that the move could lead to the Indian apparel industry out of the US market.

Navaro defended the Indian trade policies inappropriate, defending the tariff to increase the tariff. He said, ‘25% of tariffs were imposed in India because they cheat us in business. Then 25% tariff was caused by buying Russian oil.

Extra 25% tariff on India by buying Russian oil

Trump has imposed an additional 25% tariff on India due to buying Russian oil, which will be implemented from 27 August i.e. tomorrow.

Earlier, Trump has imposed 25% tariffs on India in July, so that in the coming days, 50% tariff will have to be given in the US on import of Indian goods.

India is the second largest buyer of Russian oil

India is the largest buyer of Russian oil after China. Before the Ukraine War, India used to import only 0.2% (68 thousand barrels per day) from Russia. By May 2023 it increased to 45% (2 million barrels per day), while India is buying 17.8 lakh barrels of oil from Russia every day from January to July in 2025.

For the last two years, India has been buying more than $ 130 billion (Rs 11.33 lakh crore) every year.

Russia-Ukraine Jung continued from 2022

Russia-Ukraine Jung began in February, 2022. The major reason for the war between the two countries is Russia’s Ukrainian land.

Russia occupies about 20% of Ukraine area. Thousands of citizens and soldiers have been killed due to the war, and millions of Ukrainians have been displaced. By June 2023, about 8 million Ukrainians left the country and fled.

Trump has a meeting with leaders of both countries to end the war. Recently, he held a meeting with Putin in Alaska, which was the first Alaska Yatra of a Russian leader in 80 years.

Jailonski demand- Be unconditionally ceasefire

Trump met Ukraine President Jailnsky on August 18 at the White House. Trump described this conversation as successful. Jailonsky said that this was his best conversation ever.

Jailonsky said during a conversation with Trump that he would not give even an inch of Ukraine to Russia. They believe that if Ukraine now retreats, it can weaken the sovereignty and security of the country. Also, Russia can get a chance to attack more in future.

Jailonsky said- Our principles and decisions related to our land will be at the level of leaders, but Ukraine’s participation in it is necessary. Jailonski demanded a ceasefire unconditionally.

Putin refuses to quit 10% of Ukraine

Russia has occupied about 20% of Ukraine, ie about 1 lakh 14 thousand 500 square kilometers. It includes areas such as Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherrason and Japorijia.

Russia considers these areas its strategic and historical heritage and is not ready to leave them.

Putin has clearly said that talks with Ukraine about peace can only happen when Ukraine leaves his claim from the occupied areas of Russia and accept those areas as part of Russia.
