US President Donald Trump’s media company Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) suffered a loss of Rs 2,261 crore in April-June 2026. During this period, the total income of the company was only Rs 16.15 crore.

The total net loss of TMTG between January and June 2026 was Rs 6,118 crore. The total earnings of the company during this period were only Rs 23.75 crore. That means the company’s loss in six months was about 258 times its total earnings.

The company said in its report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that its three-month loss has increased significantly compared to the same period last year. At the same time, there has been an increase of 89% in earnings.

Loss of Rs 1800 crore from digital assets

According to the company, the biggest reason for its loss was the loss related to digital assets, investments made by pledging them and shares. The company recorded unsold loss of Rs 1,809 crore related to these.

Apart from this, interest of about Rs 111 crore and stock-based payment of Rs 77 crore were also added to the company’s expenses.

Where did the company’s income come from?

Almost all of TMTG’s earnings came from its media business. Of this, about Rs 13.6 crore were received from advertising and Rs 1.7 crore from subscription.

The company’s main social media platform is Truth Social. Apart from this, she runs video streaming service Truth+ and fintech brand Truth.Fi.

The company has also expanded into cryptocurrency business in the past year.

New service Truth API gives companies faster access to Trump’s posts

From August 1, TMTG has started a service called Truth API. It gives investors and companies faster access to posts published on Truth Social.

The company’s interim CEO Kevin McGurn said that so far 10 companies have become customers of this service. She is paying fees ranging from Rs 57 lakh to Rs 95 lakh every month.

However, concerns about conflict of interest have also been raised regarding this service. The reason for this is that Trump’s truth social posts may have an impact on the financial markets.

Truth Social’s visits decreased by more than one third

Truth Social was launched in 2022, but it is far behind big platforms like X and Facebook.

The New York Times, quoting data from online tracking company SimilarWeb, reported that in July 2026, visits to Truth Social decreased by more than a third compared to July last year.

TMTG is listed on the US stock exchange Nasdaq under the name DJT. By the end of trading on Monday, the company’s shares fell about 8%.
