Ekta Kapoor’s superhit show ‘Naagin’ can now move beyond the world of TV and reach theatres. According to industry sources, Balaji Telefilms is working on the possibilities of presenting this popular franchise in the form of films. ‘Naagin’, which started with Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan in 2015, quickly became one of the most popular supernatural shows of the country. Many seasons of this franchise have come in the last 11 years and currently ‘Naagin 7’ is on-air on TV. Now the makers are planning to show its mythological and fantasy world on the big screen in a grander form. Although the concept of the film ‘Naagin’ is still in its initial stage, the biggest question is who will play the character of Naagin on the big screen. Like TV, a long audition process can be kept for this role too, because this project has been very close to Ekta Kapoor and she pays special attention to everything from looks to styling. Ekta Kapoor is working on many big projects these days. Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia will be seen in lead roles in his and TVF’s theatrical film ‘Vvan’. Apart from this, horror-comedy ‘Bhoot Bangla’ starring Akshay Kumar, Tabu and Paresh Rawal is also going to be released on 15 May 2026.
