An audio in the name of Maulana Masood Azhar, the leader of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed based in Pakistan, is going viral on social media. In this audio, Masood Azhar reportedly claims that Jaish has thousands of suicide bombers ready to carry out attacks.

However, the date of this audio and its authenticity have not been confirmed. In the audio, Masood Azhar is heard saying that there are not just one-two, hundred or thousand people in his organization.

He claims that if the real numbers are revealed, there will be an uproar. He also says that his fighters do not fight for any money, visa or personal gain, but only want martyrdom.

Terrorist Azhar is the mastermind of Parliament attack

Pakistani terrorist Masood Azhar is the mastermind of the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001. Apart from this, he has also carried out many terrorist attacks in India. Masood is also the mastermind of the 2016 Pathankot attack.

According to the charge sheet of Delhi Police in this case, Masood had used the cadre of Jaish-e-Mohammed for attacks on India. He also attacked Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya in 2005 and CRPF soldiers in Pulwama in 2019.

Apart from this, Masood is also responsible for the Uri attack in 2016 and the attack on the Indian Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.

Masood Azhar came to India for the first time in 1994

Masood Azhar first reached Delhi from Dhaka on January 29, 1994 by boarding a plane from Bangladesh. In 1994, Azhar had entered Srinagar using a fake identity. Its objective was to reduce tension between Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen groups.

Four years later, in July 1995, 6 foreign tourists were kidnapped in Jammu and Kashmir. The kidnappers demanded the release of Samood Azhar in exchange for the tourist. After the plane hijack in 1999, the Indian government released Azhar.

On December 24, 1999, an Indian plane coming from Kathmandu to Delhi was hijacked by Azhar’s brother and other terrorists. He took it to Kandahar in Afghanistan, where the Taliban was ruling at that time. A demand was made to release three terrorists including Masood Azhar in exchange for the people captured in the plane.

The demands of the terrorists were fulfilled and Masood was freed. After this he fled to Pakistan. The Chinese government has saved Masood several times from being declared a global terrorist in the UNSC. In 2009, there was a proposal for the first time to include Azhar in the list of global terrorist. Then four times in a row, China did not allow the proposal to be passed citing lack of evidence.
