A mother resident of Aabadpura, Jalandhar has made serious allegations against a travel agent for the suspicious death of her daughter Ankita in Oman. The mother claims that the agent fraudulently sent her abroad, where she was physically abused and mentally harassed. After receiving the news of Ankita’s death on April 24, the accused agent closed the office and is absconding. The victim’s family has appealed to the Police Commissioner for justice and demanded the arrest of the accused and bringing back the daughter’s body. Monica, a resident of Aabadpura, who had woven a web of death by pretending to have a bright future, had contacted agent Jaskaran Singh after seeing an advertisement for a better future for her daughter Ankita. ‘J.R.’ located at Ambika Tower. Enterprises’ owner Jaskaran had assured that Ankita would get a salary of Rs 30,000 per month for domestic work in Oman. Shortly after reaching Oman, Ankita started being abused. She remained in contact with her mother till 22 April. She would often cry over the phone and tell that she was being physically abused there and beaten badly. When the mother requested Agent Jaskaran to call her daughter back, he kept avoiding her by giving false consolation every time. The news of death came on 24th April. Ankita’s contact was suddenly lost after 22nd April. After this, another woman working in Oman called and gave shocking news to the family. He told that Ankita died on 24 April 2026. The woman also confirmed that Ankita had faced severe physical torture. As soon as the news of Ankita’s death spread, accused agent Jaskaran closed his office and ran away. Demanding justice from the police administration: The helpless mother who has lost her daughter has now appealed to the Police Commissioner for justice. They have demanded that the agent be arrested before he flees abroad and arrangements should be made to bring Ankita’s body to India. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have intensified the investigation. This incident once again exposes the dark truth of those fake agents who push innocent people into the well of death in the name of golden dreams.
