VHP demanded action
Vinod Bansal said that it is very unfortunate to write such slogans on the walls of the prestigious Jamia Millia Islamia University of the country’s capital. He called it a deep conspiracy to defile the temple of education.
Bansal demanded the university administration and police to identify those responsible and take immediate action against them.
He said, “Are some people trying to make this central university a hub of anti-India activities?”
Congress leadership also targeted
The VHP spokesperson accused the Congress leadership of politically defending those who term the Constitution as fascist. He also alleged that such people raise slogans like dividing India.
Bansal said, “Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the top leadership of Congress should make it clear whether they are with Sharjeel Imam or with the Constitution of India, democracy and national unity.”
He said that political protection for anti-national ideas should now end.
According to Bansal, there should be a public boycott of those who insult the Constitution and spread distrust among the people. He said that instead of giving political protection to such people, they should be given strict punishment.
