Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar participated in the Doha Forum held in Qatar on Saturday. Here he talked about de-dollarization, Russia Ukraine War, Mediterranean Sea and tensions spread across the world. The Foreign Minister told how India is talking directly to Russia and Ukraine and sending each other’s messages to both the countries.
On the issue of de-dollarization in Doha Forum, Jaishankar said that we have never advocated it and at present there is no proposal for BRICS currency. BRICS countries take different stances regarding this.
In fact, Donald Trump has talked about imposing 100% tariff on BRICS countries for trading in any currency other than the US dollar. BRICS includes 9 countries including India, Russia and China. It is a group of countries with emerging economies.
The needle of time is moving towards dialogue instead of war. On the tension spread across the world, Jaishankar said- We are looking for common links among ourselves, which can be used when the right time comes. Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, the Indian Foreign Minister said-

India is expressing the sentiments of the Global South In Doha Forum, Jaishankar said that India is expressing the sentiments and interests of the Global South. 125 countries have been affected due to the war. In the last few weeks and months I have also seen European leaders talking about this. These European leaders are asking us to continue talking to Russia and Ukraine.
On the ongoing conflict in different parts of the world, Jaishankar said that diplomats should recognize the reality of the world and move forward.

Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar said that as conflict is increasing all around us, it is the need of the hour not to reduce diplomacy, but to increase it further.
IISS will go to Bahrain to participate in Manama Dialogue Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar had come to attend the Doha Forum on the invitation of Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman. This was the 22nd edition of the Doha Forum, the theme of which was ‘Conflict Resolution in the New Era’. After this, Jaishankar will go to Bahrain on 8-9 December. Where he will participate in IISS Manama Dialogue.
