External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has reacted for the first time on India-US relations after Trump’s victory. He said on Sunday that many countries of the world are worried about Trump’s victory, but India is not worried about Trump becoming President again.
Jaishankar attended the silver jubilee event of Aditya Birla Group Scholarship Program in Mumbai. During this, he said- Modi was one of the first three world leaders whom Trump talked to after his victory.
Jaishankar said that PM Modi has had strong personal relations with many US presidents. When he first went to Washington DC, there was President Obama, then Donald Trump, then Joe Biden. It is very natural for them. They build strong personal relationships with world leaders. This helps India.
In the US presidential election held on November 5, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump defeated Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris. Trump has won 312 out of 538 seats in 50 states. He was the President of America from 2016 to 2020.
Jaishankar also talked about foreign policy…3 points
- Discussion of India around the world: The development taking place in India is being discussed all over the world. The world is watching and praising the changes taking place in India. 75 new airports, 16 new metros, better national highways, good railway travel and young talent in India are proof of this.
- Easy to do business with government policies: Jaishankar said- Government policies are making business easier. This is making people’s lives easier. The policies are reducing bureaucracy and strengthening citizen awareness. Improving human resource development. The world is a competitive place and to strengthen India’s place here, we have to continuously sharpen our nature.
- Need to build a strong supply chain: The world realized the dangers of being dependent on just a few places during Covid. Monopoly on production and market can also be used for political gains. That is why there is now talk of creating a reliable and strong supply chain. This becomes even more important in the digital world.
Birla said- We invested 15 billion dollars in America

Chairman Kemar Mangalam and Jaishankar were talking on important issues at the event of Birla Group.
- At the event, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said – My personal experience during the last tenure of Donald Trump was very positive. Trump is a supporter of industrialization.
- Birla said- We as Aditya Birla Group are India’s largest investor in America. We have invested about $15 billion in America.
- Trump also has a very positive approach towards India. Trump has very good relations with Modi. We can expect better relations between the two countries in future.
