Due to active Western Disturbance, the weather has deteriorated in the states of North India. While there was snowfall in the hilly areas, rain and hail fell in the plains.
Snowfall occurred in the plains and hilly districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Up to 4 inches of snow has accumulated at Srinagar Airport, due to which all flights have been canceled for Friday. Roads were closed due to snowfall in 10 districts of Uttarakhand.
The first snowfall of this season occurred in Himachal Pradesh. Snow storm hit Shimla. Due to this, there was blackout in Shimla city from Friday morning. There was no electricity in 95 percent areas of the city. Avalanche warning has been issued in the higher areas by the Meteorological Department in all three states.
On the other hand, it rained in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan and hail fell at some places. A church caught fire due to lightning in Meerut, UP. In Bharatpur, Rajasthan too, a woman got burnt due to lightning, while a buffalo died.

- Delhi and North India (NCR) may remain partly cloudy. Possibility of light fog in the morning.
- The effect of cold winds will remain. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 7-10°C, with the maximum temperature expected to be between 18-22°C.
