In 1982, director Ramesh Sippy’s film ‘Shakti’ was released. The film featured superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar. It was written by Salim-Javed. The special thing was that Shakti was the first and only film in which veteran actors Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan appeared on screen together. The film was a pair of producer Mushir-Riyaz. Mushir Alam was one of the most high-profile and most successful producers of Bollywood in the 70s and 80s. His production label was “Musir-Riyaz”, a joint venture with fellow producer Mohammad Riyaz.

Let me tell you that in 1982, producer Mushir together took place together, which shocked everyone. Mushir Alam, producer of the film ‘Shakti’, was kidnapped in the day of Mumbai in broad daylight.
How did the kidnap happen?
Famous crime journalist S Hussain Zaidi had told his YouTube channel about the incident that Mushir Alam was going to office like Rose. On the way, a white ambassador car came and 4 armed men came out. He forcefully seated Musheer in the car and blindfolded, but Mushir did not lose courage. He tried to remember some signs of the way. He saw the poster of a ‘Sholay’ film despite being blindfolded. He heard the voice while climbing the wooden stairs and heard the verses of the Quran in the voice of the children. All these things were very useful later.

Kidnappers ask for 20 lakh rupees to leave Mushir
According to the Indian Express, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from Mushir. Mushir called one of his colleagues, who arranged about 3 lakh rupees. The miscreants left Mushir at an intersection with money.
The case was taken seriously by Dilip Kumar This news did not come in the media, but Dilip Kumar took the matter seriously. He met the Mumbai Police Commissioner and reached the police station with Mushir. The incident has been shared in the book of former Mumbai Police officer Isaq Bagwan. Isak Bagwan writes in his book, “On 24 September 1982, a constable told that Dilip Kumar has come to the Commissioner’s office. We felt that he might have come to renew his weapon license or there would be a security issue, but the matter was something else.” Bagwan further wrote, “When we reached the commissioner’s office, I saw that Dilip Kumar is sitting with two people. Commissioner Ribero said,” These are Mr. Mushir and Mr. Riyaz. “

Police investigation and disclosure Police officer Isaq Bagwan closely questioned Musheer. He asked how long the car reached Haji Ali, how many stairs climbed, which voices came. With all these signs, the police guessed that this place could be in Nagpada area. When he reached there, he found the same room as Mushir told. People there were asked whose room, then received the answer – “This is the inquiry room of the Amirzada -Almjeb gang.” These four people have been identified as Amirzada, Alamzeb, Abdul Latif and Shahzad Khan.
The real intention of the gang Isak Bagwan also wrote, “When the whole matter was investigated in depth, it was found that this gang had earlier tried to kill Dawood Ibrahim, which did not have money left for him. He was in dire need of money, so he told Ahmed Sayyed Khan that he found the rich people of the film industry and thus he reached Mushir.”
