चीन ने CPEC गलियारे पर भारत का विरोध खारिज किया: कहा- पाकिस्तान तक सड़क अपने इलाके में बना रहे; भारत का दावा- यह हमारी जमीन

China has responded to the questions of Indian media regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). According to Global Times, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Monday that the area about which questions are being raised is a part of China.

He said that it is China’s right to build infrastructure in its own territory and no question can be raised on it. This CPEC project of China will connect it to Pakistan through road.

The area where China is building CPEC infrastructure is in the Shaksgam Valley of Kashmir. Pakistan had illegally occupied this area in 1948 and handed over this area to China in 1963. India has been against any foreign illegal construction in this area.

China said- Our stand on Kashmir issue is the same as before

Mao Ning told that China and Pakistan had signed a border agreement in the 1960s and the border between the two countries was fixed. He said that this decision was taken by two sovereign countries within their rights.

Regarding CPEC, Mao Ning said that it is an economic cooperation project, the purpose of which is to promote local economic and social development and improve people’s lives.

He clearly said that the China-Pakistan border agreement and CPEC have no connection with China’s stand on the Kashmir issue and China’s position on this matter remains the same as before.
