This maglev train of China was run on a special track 400 meters long.

Chinese scientists have successfully tested a maglev train which reached a speed of 700 kilometers per hour in just two seconds. It is so bright that it becomes difficult to see it properly with the eyes.

Scientists from China’s National University of Defense Technology tested this superfast train on Thursday. This train weighing about one tonne was run on a 400 meter long special track.

During the test, the train achieved record speed within a few moments and was then stopped safely. Scientists say this is the fastest superconducting electric maglev train ever built.

The team of engineers was working on this project for the last 10 years. In January this year, the train had reached a speed of 648 km per hour on the same track, but now it has created a new world record by crossing the mark of 700 km per hour.

Maglev train does not touch the tracks

The video of the test has surfaced, in which the train is seen running on the track like a flash of lightning and leaves a light mist behind. The special thing about maglev train is that it does not touch the tracks.

The powerful magnets installed in it lift the train into the air and push it forward. Since there is no contact between the wheels and the track, there is no friction and the train can run at very high speeds.

Scientists say that the same technology with which this train moves forward can also be used to launch rockets in future. If this technology is adopted in passenger trains, then the journey between big cities can be completed in a few minutes.

This train can lay the foundation of hyperloop transport

The report also says that this technology can lay the foundation for future hyperloop transport. In Hyperloop, trains will run at extremely high speed in closed tubes like vacuum, which will make the journey even faster and safer.

According to South China Morning Post, scientists have solved many difficult technical problems in this project. This includes using extremely fast electromagnetic systems to propel the train, keep it stable in the air, handle sudden power demands, and use powerful superconducting magnets.

Professor Li Jie of the National University of Defense Technology said that the success of this ultra-high-speed maglev system will provide a new direction to the research and development of superfast trains in China and open the way for building faster trains in the future.

About 30 years ago, this university had built China’s first maglev train, in which people could travel. With this, China became the third country in the world to develop this technology.

Maglev train is running only in three countries

There are very few countries in the world where maglev train is running or work is being done on it. China is at the forefront of this technology. Maglev technology is also quite developed in Japan. The train has reached a speed of more than 600 km per hour on the test track there. A maglev line is being built between Tokyo and Nagoya, although it has not yet been fully opened for common passengers.

A maglev train runs near Incheon Airport in South Korea, which is used for short distance travel. Its speed is not high, but it is in service for the common people.

Germany and Britain first worked on this technology, but today maglev trains do not run there. China’s first maglev was built on German technology. Today, China, Japan and South Korea are the only countries where maglev trains are running.

Apart from China, currently maglev trains are running only in Japan and South Korea. Photo of Japanese maglev train.

India’s fastest train runs at a speed of 180 km

Maglev train has not yet started in India because this technology is very expensive and complex. To run a maglev train, a different type of track and infrastructure has to be built, which does not work on existing railway lines. This means that a completely new line will have to be built, which costs a lot.

Currently, the fastest train in India is Vande Bharat Express. This is a modern train and its maximum speed is about 180 kilometers per hour. It is considered the fastest in the country for everyday travel.

In the coming time, the fastest train in India will be Bullet Train. Work for this is going on between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. After its launch, this train will run at a speed of about 320 kilometers per hour.
