A shocking case of cyber fraud has come to light, where a person lost his dream of becoming a millionaire soon. Due to the greed of making big money by investing money in the online share market, a person lost Rs 36 lakh. This case is from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
This story of cyber fraud starts from Facebook, where a young man’s eyes fall on an advertisement related to online trading. In the advertisement, fake dreams of earning big money from the share market are shown.
With the help of advertisement, the young man came in contact with some people, who started understanding how he can become rich overnight by investing money in online trading sitting at home. Here 30 percent profit was cited.
Connected to WhatsApp group
The victim was connected to a WhatsApp group, on which messages related to trading and claims of profit were made. After this the cyber thugs sent an app to the victim and asked him to open an account. The victim started seeing profit along with the investment, which is actually fake.
The young man started seeing fake profits in the app and while trying to withdraw it, he was cheated to the extent of Rs 36 lakh.
