An example of humanity and understanding was seen in a moving train, when a pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl during the journey. This case is from Faridabad, where a woman returning from Mata Vaishno Devi Katra started labor pain before time. Understanding the situation, the women present in the train got the delivery done with mutual cooperation.
Actually, this incident happened on January 1. The woman was returning home by train, when suddenly she started having severe labor pain. The situation became such that the delivery had to be done in the train itself. Both the woman and the newborn are safe and were later taken to the hospital.
The woman was eight months pregnant, pain started during the journey
According to the information, the woman who gave birth to a baby girl in the train has been identified as Abhilasha. She was traveling with her husband Jawaharlal. The couple are residents of Sitoli village in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh. The woman was eight months pregnant and her delivery was premature.
According to railway officials, this incident happened in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Jabalpur Express (11450). The woman and her husband live and work in Jammu and Kashmir. Since the woman could deliver at any time, the husband was returning to the village with her.
Pain increased after Tughlaqabad, women took charge of the situation
The train reached Delhi on Friday afternoon, from where the woman started feeling mild pain. After crossing Tughlakabad railway station, the pain suddenly intensified and the woman’s condition started deteriorating. Seeing the unbearable pain, the husband appealed to the women present nearby for help.
The women present in S-5 coach immediately understood the situation. He guessed that the woman was about to deliver. After this, with the help of the passengers, curtains were placed around the seats and the remaining people were sent to the other side.
Curtain made from bedsheet and blanket, delivered in train
The women collected the sheets, shawls and blankets they had and covered the pregnant woman. With the help of some experienced women, safe delivery was done in the moving train itself. The woman gave birth to a baby girl.
After delivery, the passengers present in the train immediately informed the Railways. A passenger called the railway control room and informed about the entire incident, after which the railway administration came into action.
Faridabad Train stopped at station, taken to hospital
As soon as the information was received, the train was stopped at Old Faridabad Railway Station. The train stood at the station for about 26 minutes for the woman. The female staff of Railway Medical reached the spot and examined the mother and the newborn.
After this, with the help of women policemen of RPF and GRP, the mother and the child were taken to BK Hospital through ambulance. According to railway officials, both the woman and her newborn baby are completely safe. The wisdom and humanity of the women traveling in the train played a big role in this incident.
