The Hindu American Foundation has demanded Walmart to immediately stop the sale of these products, accusing them of insulting religious sentiments. He has written a letter to Walmart saying that the image of Hindu Lord Shri Ganesha has been used in an inappropriate and derogatory manner. Walmart also assured action on this.

After this Walmart removed these products from the website. Giving information about this, Hindu American Foundation itself thanked Walmart. These products were being sold on the website of Walmart company. However, this controversial product was not available for purchase in India.

Printed on slippers and swimsuit According to Hindu American Foundation member Prem Kumar Raj, slippers and swimsuits with photos of Lord Shri Ganesha were being sold on the website of Walmart company. A company named Chaps is selling this product on the website.

He complained to Walmart on social media (X) asking that the sale of these items be stopped immediately. Lord Ganesha is worshiped as “Vighnaharta” (remover of suffering) by more than a billion followers worldwide. Such use of his photo on slippers and swimsuits hurts religious sentiments.

Foundation said- If you want to use photos, we are ready to give guidelines On behalf of the Foundation, it has also been said that if anyone wants to use the image of Hindu symbols for business, then the Foundation is ready to discuss and provide information about the guidelines made in that regard.

Walmart said- will resolve the matter

Following the complaint by Hindu American Foundation, Walmart expressed regret over the sale of such products on their website. Walmart also admitted that this is really hurting religious sentiments and trust.

Walmart further said that we understand how you may be feeling at this time, because if we were in your situation, we would feel the same. Don’t worry, we will take steps to resolve this matter soon.

Walmart assured them that they were talking to the company selling the product. This product will be removed within 48 hours. If the seller does not remove it, he will be banned from selling the product on Walmart.
