Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday accused the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government of adding animal fat to the laddus at the Tirupati temple.

He said that in the last 5 years, YSR Congress Party leaders have tarnished the sanctity of Tirumala. They compromised the quality of ‘annadanam’ (free food).

Even the sacred laddus of Tirumala use animal fat instead of ghee. This revelation has raised concerns.

However, now we are using pure ghee. We are working hard to protect the sanctity of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).

YSR Congress leader said- Chandrababu hurt the sentiments of Hindus On this, senior YSR Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP YV Subba Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu has committed a big sin by hurting the holy temple of Tirumala and the faith of crores of Hindus. Chandrababu’s comments on Tirumala Prasad are very condemnable. No human being can say such words or make such allegations.

He further said that it has been proved once again that Chandrababu does not hesitate to do anything bad for political gains. To strengthen the faith of the devotees, I and my family are ready to take oath with God as witness in the matter of Tirumala Prasad. Is Chandrababu also ready to take oath with his family?
