Here, police investigation has revealed that the accused are residents of Rajori district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to police sources, teams have reached Rajori to arrest them. The police is also trying to find the network of these attackers in Punjab.

DGP himself is monitoring
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Chandigarh DGP Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda is himself monitoring the investigation. According to police sources, he is constantly taking updates on the case from the authorities and is keeping an eye on the development of the investigation.
On the instructions of the DGP, the Operation Cell, District Crime Cell and Crime Branch have been ordered to take joint action and arrest the accused soon. All three agencies are sharing the inputs collected at different levels.

Police security at 3 chemist shops
After the firing on Saturday at Shri Kumar Medical Store located in Sector-11, security arrangements have been increased in the area. The shops remained closed on Sunday, the next day of the incident, while when the shop opened on Monday, Chandigarh Police deployed a policeman there.
Meanwhile, two other chemist shop operators also received death threats from gangsters. After this, the police have also deployed policemen for security outside Mahadev Medical Store and Durga Medical located in Sector-11.

In view of security, the police have set up barricades at two places on the main road in front of the medical stores. One block has been set up towards PGI and the other towards Sector-11 police station. Vehicles coming and going at these checkpoints are being checked. CRPF personnel have also been deployed along with the police, so that security can be maintained in the area.
