Global coffee chain Starbucks has announced a major change in leadership. Brian Nicol will now replace Indian-origin Laxman Narasimhan as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Niccol, who currently leads Chipotle Mexican Grill, will take over as Starbucks CEO on September 9. Until then, the coffee chain’s CFO, Rachel Ruggeri, will serve as interim CEO.
