Know how Nijjar was murdered
- Nijjar was murdered at around 8:30 pm on June 18, 2023. He was the chairman of the committee of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara located in Surrey, Canada and was present in the Gurdwara itself. When Nijjar came out of the Gurudwara and started leaving the parking lot in his gray Ram pickup truck, the attackers were already ready to ambush him.
- As Nijjar’s truck moved towards the exit gate of the parking lot, suddenly a white sedan car started moving parallel to his truck. That van quickly came forward and stopped its vehicle right in front of Nijjar’s truck. Due to this, Nijjar’s truck got completely blocked and he could not move forward.
- As soon as the truck stopped, two masked shooters hiding nearby (who were wearing dark-coloured hooded attire) quickly ran towards Nijjar’s truck. They came to the window of Nijjar’s driving seat and started firing indiscriminately from automatic weapons. The attackers fired about 50 rounds, out of which 34 bullets hit Nijjar. Nijjar died on the spot.
