On 28 February 2024, when Sewell got the phone back, he messaged Danneries (Chatbot), ‘Can I come to your house? Chatbot replied, “Please come, my dear king.” A few seconds later, Sewell shot himself with his stepfather’s pistol.
- Earlier, Bot was shown discussing the suicide with Sevel in the chat. In which he asked if he had any plan that talked about death without pain.

While hearing the case, District Judge Anne Conway allowed the two companies to prosecute.
