In Morbi, Gujarat, a tenant gave permission to the landlord to rape his wife and minor daughter for not paying the rent. It is alleged that the landlord demanded sexual relations from the woman in exchange for waiving the outstanding rent. The husband agreed to this. After this the landlord raped the woman several times. Minor daughter also harassed: After the tenant’s wife, the landlord also targeted his minor daughter. The tenant agreed to this also. It is alleged that the landlord and another accused sexually exploited the girl by taking her to different places. This sequence was going on for the last six months. When the woman’s father (the girl’s maternal grandfather) came to know about the incident, he lodged a complaint at Morbi ‘A’ Division Police Station. 2 accused arrested, search for the third. He said that PI YB Jadeja of ‘A’ Division Police Station and his team have arrested the two main accused (husband and landlord).
