Clashes broke out in Gaza on Sunday between Hamas and the local Dogmush community.
64 people have been killed in clashes between Hamas and Dogmoush clan in Gaza City on Sunday. These include 52 Dogmoush and 12 Hamas fighters. According to Hamas television channel, the son of senior Hamas official Bassem Naim was also killed in the clashes.
According to media reports, the violence broke out when Hamas fighters attacked the clan’s positions in the Sabra area. The Dogmoush clan alleged that Hamas took advantage of the ceasefire to target them.
Hamas has warned that those militia members and criminals who are not involved in the bloodshed can surrender by next Sunday, otherwise they will be punished severely.

Local people said that people were running away in fear due to the firing. “This time people were not running from Israeli attacks, but from their own people,” an eyewitness told the BBC.
Palestinian journalist shot dead
Saleh Aljafrawi, 28, a Palestinian journalist, was shot dead during clashes between Hamas and the Dogmoush clan in Gaza City. Aljafrawi was covering the conflict. He died on the spot after being shot. His body (wearing a jacket with ‘press’ written on it) was found lying in the back of a truck.
A Hamas Interior Ministry official said the Dogmoush group involved in the clashes is an armed organization linked to Israel. Security forces have surrounded the area. The ministry alleged that the gang also attacked people who were returning from southern Gaza.
More than 270 journalists have been killed in Gaza since the war began in October 2023.

Aljafrawi was known for his war coverage videos and reporting. He had told some time ago that he was receiving threats from Israel and was living in constant fear.
