खतरों के खिलाड़ी में नजर आएंगे गौरव खन्ना: बोले- फेल होने का डर नहीं, बिना गॉडफादर के कॉर्पोरेट जॉब छोड़ एक्टर बना

Actor Gaurav Khanna is in the news these days for the stunt based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Gaurav spoke openly about the struggles of his life, his journey to Mumbai and achieving his position without a godfather.

He told what changes have happened in him since 22 years ago when he came to Mumbai from Kanpur by taking Pushpak Express without any plan. Along with this, Gaurav also discussed his family’s reaction to the new show, his experience of working with Rohit Shetty and his habit of taking risks in life.

Question: You are going to participate in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, do the fans have high expectations from you? answer: It feels great when the audience shows so much trust. In the last reality show (Bigg Boss), people saw me in my true form. Till now they knew me only by the characters, but now they know the real Gaurav (GK). It will be my endeavor to live up to their expectations and keep entertaining them.

Question: What special is GK (Gaurav Khanna) going to do in this show? Answer: GK will do stunts in this show. Whatever show GK goes to, he definitely fulfills whatever requirements are there.

Question: What are your preparations for the show? Answer: I never go without thinking anything. I put myself in that situation and try to perform as per the requirements. I have no experience in stunts, I am doing all this for the first time.

Question: How did the family react when the offer for the show came? answer: My parents live in Kanpur and are very simple people. When my mother came to know, she became worried. He said, “Why are you going? What do you need, your career is going well.” He had said the same during MasterChef and Bigg Boss also. I didn’t tell him this time either. To be honest, I was the last person to sign the contract of the show.

Question: Then how did you decide to do the show? answer: My father encouraged me and said that you should do this. I felt that after winning one or two shows, we often go into our comfort zone. But the fun lies in testing yourself. I became an actor from the corporate line and then entered reality shows. As long as there is passion to do something new, there will be growth in life. Wife Akanksha’s reaction was also cool, she immediately said- “Do it!”

Question: What is the biggest risk you have taken so far in life? answer: Leaving your comfort zone. First of all, leaving my home and coming to such a big city (Mumbai), that too without any plan. I had no idea that I would be acting. Neither knew anyone, nor had any family, nor any guidance or godfather. Today, when I look back, I feel that I have taken a lot of risks in life.

Question: What would you call that Gaurav who came to Mumbai years ago without any arrangement? answer: I would just tell him to “believe in yourself.” Even today I find the same thing useful that came 20 years ago. If I had wavered in my faith at that time, perhaps I would have never joined this line and would have remained in corporate. I don’t have any regrets in life, just do something out of the box.

Question: What are you thinking about working with Rohit Shetty? answer: I met him in a weekend episode of Bigg Boss. His vibe is like that of an elder brother, who explains big things jokingly. Learning stunts under his guidance is a big reason for doing this show. It will definitely feel bad, it is not that I am made of stone and I am not afraid. Everyone feels fear, we just have to overcome it.

Question: You will also meet old friends and co-contestants in the show, what will be the equation with them? answer: I have a good bonding with Farhana. I also know Ritwik, Rubina, Jasmine and Vishal. Apart from this, Harsh is also from Kanpur, so this time there will be two Kanpuris in the show. I hope that there will be a good bonding with Harsh, if he laughs then we will be mentally relaxed.

Question: Height, water or insects… what are you most afraid of? Answer: Don’t know, I think he will scare in every stunt. I have heard that this time the level of the show is going to be very big. If my power is used, everyone else’s will be used. I will just remain calm thinking that the playing field is level for everyone.
