‘क्या ट्रंप हमारे PM को भी किडनैप कर लेंगे?’ वेनेजुएला संकट पर पूर्व CM चव्हाण के बयान से सियासी बवाल

Senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has created a stir in the country’s politics by giving a controversial statement. Referring to America’s recent action against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Chavan raised the question whether Donald Trump can do the same with the Indian Prime Minister in future? BJP has reacted sharply to this statement and termed it as anti-India mentality of Congress.

Chavan made these comments while commenting on the tariffs imposed on India by US President Donald Trump. He said that Trump used tariffs to disrupt trade with India. Even if Trump imposes an additional 50% tariff, it will not make any difference. After this, Chavan asked, “The question is whether the same thing will happen in India also. Venezuela happened in? Will Trump kidnap our Prime Minister?

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari criticized the Congress leader while sharing a clip of the interview on X. He wrote, “Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan Shamelessly comparing India’s situation with Venezuela. By asking, ‘What happened in Venezuela, can it happen in India’, Congress is making its anti-India mentality clear.”

Chavan made similar comments in another interview

In another interview, Chavan made similar comments and said that what happened in Venezuela can also happen in India. He attacked the central government for its alleged silence on the crisis and said that what happened in Venezuela was against the UN Charter. He further warned that such steps could set a dangerous precedent at the global level.

Chavan took aim at India’s foreign policy and alleged that the government has failed to take a clear stance on major global conflicts. He said, “India, as usual, did not say anything, did not take any stand on the Venezuela issue. Russia and China have taken a stand and criticized what the US has done.”

He further said, “The same thing happened in the Ukraine war. We did not take sides. We did not take any stance on the Israel-Hamas issue and now here we are, so scared of the Americans that we are not even trying to criticize what has happened. It is a false claim that Maduro himself is smuggling drugs. There should be some evidence for this, but there is no evidence. The case against him is politically motivated.”

It is noteworthy that the US Army, while taking action in Venezuela, had captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. After this, he was handcuffed and taken to New York, where he is being tried under serious sections. There are sharp reactions across the world regarding the American action taken to capture Maduro.
