The victim’s family in the Kolkata rape-murder case is demanding justice. In an interview to the agency, the victim’s father has said that he has faith in the CBI investigation. He alleged that the Kolkata Police tried to mislead us and did not investigate thoroughly.

The victim’s father has said that the state administration is trying to save someone and hide something. One person cannot commit such a serious crime. The victim’s father also talked about joining the doctors’ protest.

He said that no decision has been taken yet on approaching the Supreme Court regarding the irregularities going on in RG Kar Hospital. If needed, we will consider it.

The victim’s mother said that Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal has not investigated the incident properly. He was in a hurry. The comments he has made about the investigation are shocking. We hope that any racket going on in RG Car will be detected and action will be taken.

On the morning of 9 August, the body of the trainee doctor was found in the seminar hall of the hospital. She was on night duty. The post-mortem report confirmed rape. Since then, the doctors of the hospital have been protesting. One accused has been arrested. CBI has interrogated 73 people so far.

CISF was deployed for security at RG Kar Medical College following the Supreme Court’s direction. CISF said that they have received instructions to assist the Kolkata Police and not replace them.

Polygraph test will be conducted on 6 people including Sanjay Roy
Polygraph test will be conducted on six accused, including Sanjay Roy, who raped and murdered a trainee doctor in Kolkata. These include the former principal of the college, Sandip Ghosh, and four doctors who had dinner with the victim on the night of August 8.

On 23 August, the CBI presented the main accused Sanjay Roy before the Sealdah Special Court. The court sent him to 14 days judicial custody. During the hearing itself, Sanjay had also agreed to undergo a polygraph test.

At the same time, the Calcutta High Court has handed over the investigation of the irregularities in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and the case related to former Deputy Superintendent Akhtar Ali to the CBI. Justice Rajarshi Bhardwaj ordered the SIT to hand over the investigation documents to the CBI by 10 am on August 24. The CBI has to submit the progress report of the investigation to the High Court in three weeks (September 17).

BJP protests, Adhir’s advice to Sibal
BJP workers gheraoed the Nandigram police station in West Bengal’s East Medinipur district. BJP supporters also gheraoed Chinsura, Siuri, Midnapore and Bankura police stations. Meanwhile, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has advised Kapil Sibal to step down from the trainee doctor rape murder case.

Adhir said that I would request him to recuse himself from the case. It would be better if he does not support criminals. Because he was once an elected public representative. He is still a Rajya Sabha MP. In view of all these things, you should recuse yourself from the case, this is my request to you.

CBI is investigating these questions
There are many questions under the scanner of the CBI which is investigating the doctor rape-murder case. The CBI is investigating how the crime was committed in the seminar hall without any hindrance. The tower bolt of the door of that hall was found broken. Initial investigation has revealed that the door was damaged for some time due to the broken tower bolt.

The CBI is also trying to find out if any other person was stationed outside the seminar hall. CCTV footage is being examined to confirm this. Officials are also investigating why no one could hear the sound from inside the seminar hall when the incident was being carried out.

Sanjay’s psychological test report- he was addicted to watching porn
Some things have come to light from the psychoanalytical profile of Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor. The CBI officer has said that he was a person with a perverted mentality and addicted to pornography. Many pornographic videos have also been found in his phone.

Citing the CFSL report, he said that Kolkata Police volunteer Sanjay has animal-like behavior. He showed no remorse even during interrogation. He told the entire incident in detail without any hesitation.

Supreme Court said- Such negligence has not been seen in 30 years; Police’s role also doubted

During the hearing in the Supreme Court, the doctors on strike at RG Kar Medical College watched the live streaming.

During the hearing on August 22, Justice Pardiwala reprimanded the Supreme Court and said that the state government acted in this case in a way which I have never seen in my 30 years of career. The role of Kolkata Police is suspicious.

It is worth noting that the Calcutta High Court handed over the rape-murder case to the CBI on August 13. The Supreme Court ordered the CBI to submit its investigation report on August 20. The next hearing in the case will be on September 5.

Sandeep Ghosh has been questioned for 88 hours in 7 days
CBI is questioning former principal of RG Kar Hospital Sandeep Ghosh. In the last 7 days, they have questioned him for 88 hours. On Thursday also, CBI questioned him for 13 hours. The state government has also stopped Sandeep’s transfer.
