Since then, the doctors of the hospital have been protesting. One accused has been arrested. CBI has interrogated 73 people so far.

At the same time, the Calcutta High Court has handed over the investigation of the irregularities in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and the case related to former Deputy Superintendent Akhtar Ali to the CBI. Justice Rajarshi Bhardwaj ordered the SIT to hand over the investigation documents to the CBI by 10 am on August 24. The CBI has to submit the progress report of the investigation to the High Court in three weeks (September 17).

CBI is investigating these questions
There are many questions under the scanner of the CBI which is investigating the doctor rape-murder case. The CBI is investigating how the crime was committed in the seminar hall without any hindrance. The tower bolt of the door of that hall was found broken. Initial investigation has revealed that the door was damaged for some time due to the broken tower bolt.

The CBI is also trying to find out if any other person was stationed outside the seminar hall. CCTV footage is being examined to confirm this. Officials are also investigating why no one could hear the sound from inside the seminar hall when the incident was being carried out.

It is worth noting that the Calcutta High Court handed over the rape-murder case to the CBI on August 13. The Supreme Court ordered the CBI to submit its investigation report on August 20. The next hearing in the case will be on September 5.
