On Monday night at Kochi Airport in Kerala, Air India plane malfunctioned before takeoff. Flight was going from Kochi to Delhi. Kochi International Airport Limited (Cial) said that the flight had to be canceled due to technical fault.
Air India said in its statement that technical fault was detected while flying in flight number AI504. The Cockpit crew decided not to fly, following the protocol and brought the aircraft back to the bay for maintenance investigation.
According to information available on Flight Tracking website Fliters24.com, flight number AI504 was to be operated with Airbus A321 aircraft. Cial said that Air India is preparing to send passengers to Delhi with another aircraft.
Congress Lok Sabha MP Hibi Eden from Ernakulam was also aboard the flight. Eden said in a post on Facebook, ‘Some of the aircraft AI 504 were now normal. It felt as if the aircraft slipped on the runway. The information about how many passengers were on the flight have not been revealed.
