BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy has won the election for the post of Secretary (Administration) of the Constitution Club in New Delhi. It is a platform of former and current MPs. During this, Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Senior Leader Sonia Gandhi cast their votes in the election.
The election was also very interesting because two big leaders of BJP were face to face for the post. The current Secretary (Administration) Rajiv Pratap Rudy holds the post for 25 years. He is a five -time Lok Sabha MP.
He was challenged by former minister and BJP’s face Sanjeev Balyan in western Uttar Pradesh. Balyan has been a Lok Sabha MP twice. Rudy won by 100 votes in the late night election results.

The Constitution Club was established for members of the Constituent Assembly. Now former and current MPs are its members.
More than 1200 voters, 707 votes cast Officials said 707 of the total 1295 existing and former MPs cast their votes. Of these, 38 votes were ballot. It is one of the highest voting ever in the election of club officials. The Lok Sabha Speaker is the ex -officio president of the club, but plays a very important role in the executive functioning of the Secretary Club.
Rudy had appealed to vote by citing adding several new facilities to the club during his tenure. At the same time, Balyan was talking about change. He said that the club should focus only on MPs and former MPs, not outsiders like IAS and PCS.

In IndiGo, he serves as an Honorary Pilot. Rudy flew fighter plane for the first time at an air show in Bangalore in February 2015. He flew Sukhoi aircraft for 40 minutes, he was a co-pilot in it.
