There was an uproar in Delhi politics after the release on Sunday of the inventory list prepared by PWD after vacating the 6 Flag Staff Road bungalow of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. State BJP targeted former CM Kejriwal while releasing inventory documents.
BJP leaders allege that Toto smart toilet seat with fully automatic sensor was installed in the CM residence, which had features like automatic open-close seat, heated seat, wireless remote deodorizer and automatic flushing, but now these are missing. The price of one such toilet seat ranges between Rs 10-12 lakh and there are around 15 toilets. Along with this, decorative items worth several crores of rupees are also missing.
BJP leader said – Kejriwal was enjoying like a Maharaja State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijendra Gupta said that for a long time BJP has been demanding that the CM residence be brought in front of the media and this is evident from the inventory list that has come out today. It happens that why was Kejriwal not inviting the media to this bungalow. Why was the key of CM residence secretly handed over to CM Atishi instead of PWD.
Sachdeva and Gupta said that Kejriwal had come to power by calling himself a common man and saying that he would never buy a bungalow or a car. According to the inventory list, they were enjoying like kings. In the inventory list, there is mention of toilet seat worth Rs 1 crore in CM House, curtains worth Rs 5.6 crore are installed in the bungalow. Sanitary fittings worth more than Rs 15 crore have been done in CM House.
Maliwal said- Who pays the bill for all this? AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal said that the great man who built this palace had asked for the 10 ACs installed in Sheila ji’s house, who pays the bill for all these? You and I fill up. My heart trembles, thinking that when 40% of the people of Delhi live in slums, then how can a CM live in such a luxurious house.
Delhi CM Atishi said- BJP can allot it to whomever it wants. Delhi’s new Chief Minister Atishi said that BJP can allot the bungalow to whoever it wants. You have not come to the government for the bungalow. She has come to power to work for the people of Delhi. If the central government of BJP does not want to give CM residence to the CM, then he will congratulate us and work for the people of Delhi even by living on the streets.
