A Punjabi singer has been arrested in Kapurthala district of Punjab. Phagwara City Police Station, while confirming the arrest of the accused Singer, said that he is accused of cheating on his wife.

Phagwara police has arrested singer Hasan Khan alias Hasan Manak. Confirming the arrest, DSP Bharat Bhushan said that a case was registered against the singer on May 30, 2025 under sections of fraud. He was produced in the court today, from where he has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

- Arrest on wife’s complaint: This arrest took place on the complaint of the singer’s first wife Parvinder Kaur. Parvinder Kaur had complained to the Phagwara City police station a few months ago that the singer fraudulently married her for the second time and grabbed her gold jewellery.
- Fraud case registered: On the basis of this complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused on May 30 under various sections including fraud. However, the police had not arrested the accused till then. Later, the court had also issued an order to add the section of rape against the accused.
