South superstar Kamal Haasan is in controversy with the statement made on Kannada. He had said that Kannada is born from Tamil. His film thug life was not allowed to be released in Karnataka as controversy increased. At the same time, the Karnataka High Court has also reprimanded him for a statement. Now Kamal Haasan’s statement on Hindi has come out, in which he has said that it should not be imposed suddenly, because we will make many people illiterate with the sudden change.

In an interview given to PTI recently, Kamal Haasan was questioned on the language dispute. He was asked that there is a dispute over imposing Hindi in South, what is your view on this. In response, Kamal Haasan said in a funny manner, I stand with Punjab. However, he further said seriously, I stand with Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. These are not the only places where the language is being imposed. I was the actor of the film Ek Duje. Without imposing I learned the language. Do not impose, because in a way it is education. You should adopt the easiest path for education, not obstacles.

He further said, I believe that if you really want international success, then you should learn a language and I find English quite appropriate. You can also learn Spanish or Chinese, but I think the easiest way we have 350 years old English education, which is slowly but continuously. When you suddenly change it, you will unnecessarily make many people illiterate. If you forces to do everything in Hindi suddenly in Tamil Nadu and you tell them that you will not get a job, outside India. Then you start thinking that our promises. What about our language, such questions come.

There was a dispute over the statement given on Kannada

At the audio launch event of the film Thug Life held on 24 May, Kamal Haasan said that Kannada language is born from Tamil. After Kamal Haasan’s statement on Kannada language came out, his opposition began all over Karnataka. His posters were burnt in many places and there was a demand to stop the release of his film.

Due to the language controversy, on May 28, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) banned the release of Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’. KFCC President M Narasimhlu told the news agency PTI that if Kamal Haasan wants his film to be released, he would have to apologize.

Kamal Haasan said- not wrong

After receiving the warning of the film Chamber, Kamal Haasan told the media outside the headquarters of the DMK party in Chennai, this is democracy. I trust law and justice. My love for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala is true. No one is suspicious of this, just besides those who run the agenda. I have been threatened before and if I am wrong then I will apologize, but if I am not wrong then I will not apologize.

He then filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court on June 2 to remove the ban on the film Thug Life. The petition has demanded police security during the release of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) on the release of Karnataka release and during release.

The case was heard on 3 June. The court reprimanded Kamal Haasan on his statement ‘Kannada language born from Tamil’. Justice M. Nagprasanna said, ‘On what basis have you given this statement? Are you a historian or a linguist? Whether you are Kamal Haasan or someone else, you do not have the right to hurt anyone’s feelings. ‘

The court said- This country has been divided on the basis of language. Water, land and language have great importance for citizens. Unrest has spread due to your statement. The people of Karnataka expected only one apology from you, but you came here to ask for security. The court also said that the matter could have been resolved with a simple apology.

Not apologized despite court rebuke

Hassan did not apologize even after the court said. The court was told that the actor has written a letter to KFCC today. It has been decided that Hassan’s film Thug Life will not be released in Karnataka until the issue is resolved by negotiating with KFCC.

On this, Justice ordered a notice to the state government, central government and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The next hearing in the case will be held on 10 June. Till then Haasan’s film does not seem to be released in the state.

Justice said- Mr. Rajagopal Acharya also apologized During the hearing, Justice M Nagprasanna gave the example of Shri Rajagopal Acharya, who gave a similar statement 75 years ago. Justice said that a similar statement was made 75 years ago and then Mr. Rajagopal apologized. Why can’t you (Kamal Haasan) ask?

At the same time, Kamal Haasan wrote a letter to KFCC, saying, “I am very sad that his statement on the audio launch of the thug life, which was his true love for Dr. Rajkumar and his family, especially Shiva Rajkumar.” He was introduced incorrectly. My purpose was not to hurt anyone’s feeling.
