Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri’s film O Romeo is scheduled to release on February 13, but even before its release, the film is stuck in a legal dispute. Sanobar Shaikh, daughter of gangster Hussain Shaikh alias Ustra, has filed a petition in Mumbai Civil Court on Monday demanding a stay on the release of the film. At the same time, hearing in this case will be held on 6th February. According to India Today report, Sanobar Sheikh has claimed in his petition that the film is an unauthorized biography of his late father and he has been misrepresented in it. He has requested the court to conduct a pre-screening of the film and appoint an officer or commissioner who can watch the film and present his report in the court. This petition has been filed through lawyer DV Saroj against producer Sajid Nadiadwala, director Vishal Bhardwaj and the author of that book. The petition alleged that while a Mumbai Police officer had described Ustra as a police associate, the film’s trailer gave the impression that he was a gangster. Such portrayal is false and can seriously impact the reputation and security of the petitioner’s family. Sanobar also said that his father worked as a journalist in Mumbai and collaborated with several government agencies like the Mumbai Police and the Intelligence Bureau to help prevent crime. Due to these actions his life was always in danger. It has been told in the petition that Ustra had demanded a bulletproof jacket from the Police Commissioner on August 4, 1994 and it had also got approval. Let us tell you, Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Ustra in O Romeo and it is based on Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film is to be released in theaters on 13 February. On Monday, the makers released the new song ‘Ishq Ka Fever’. This song is sung by Arijit Singh.
