Due to the impact of Arnab cyclone, heavy rains are occurring in many districts of Odisha. The rain system is now moving from South Chhattisgarh towards north-east. Due to this, there is an alert of heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.
Due to the impact of the cyclone, there was rain in Uttar Pradesh on Friday along with winds blowing at a speed of 50 km per hour. Due to heavy rain alert, schools will remain closed till 8th in 13 districts on Saturday. These include Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Shahjahanpur, Amethi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Lakhimpur, Bahraich and Basti.
Strong system is active in Madhya Pradesh due to depression arising from Bay of Bengal. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 13 districts on 25th and 26th September. In Satna district, holidays have been declared in schools from nursery to eighth class.
Jharkhand is also affected by the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal. It has been raining heavily in Jamshedpur for three days. Many areas of the city are flooded. Swarnarekha and Kharkai rivers are flowing at danger level.
