In Australia, zoologist Adam Britton has been sentenced to 249 years in prison for raping and killing dogs. 52-year-old Adam is a crocodile expert. He had accepted 60 charges related to cruelty to animals last year.
According to the Australian media ABC report, Adam is a British citizen. He used to torture dogs at his home in Darwin, Australia. He used to kill them after raping them. He also used to record all this. Adam had also built a ‘torture room’ to rape the dogs.
Adam had bought 42 dogs through a website called Gumtree Australia. He said that he would give these dogs a new home. After this, he kept these dogs in a shipping container. According to the report, between 2020 and 2022, Adam raped 39 dogs.

After this, the police raided his house in Darwin, where many evidences related to animal abuse were found. The police arrested Adam in April 2022. During the hearing in the court on July 11, Adam’s lawyer had appealed for a lesser sentence citing his mental condition.

While presenting the medical report, the lawyer had said that Adam has a disease called ‘paraphilia’. In this, the victim tries to have physical relations with a person without permission. The victim mostly targets children.
According to the lawyer’s report, after being arrested, Adam was also given 30 hours of psychological treatment. After this, he is regretting his crime. Zoologist Adam is married and his wife Erin had no idea about his crimes.
