According to sources, pilot Philip had taken off from Bir Billing. As soon as information about the accident was received, the local administration and paragliding association came into action. Rescue done with the help of helicopter

Considering the critical condition of the pilot and the sensitivity of the accident, a joint and comprehensive rescue operation was launched the next morning by Beed Paragliding Association and Manali Paragliding Association.

Due to the inaccessible geographical location and high altitude, it was difficult for the ground team to reach there, so helicopter help was immediately taken for rescue. The rescue team, risking their lives, with precise coordination, safely airlifted Austrian pilot Philipp from a height of about 3 thousand 700 meters.

Airlifted and sent to Chandigarh

Soon after the successful rescue, the injured pilot was airlifted to Chandigarh for better treatment. Manali SHO Munish Kumar said that he had received information about a paraglider crash. But it was not possible for the rescue team to reach that place quickly. He confirmed that the pilot has been airlifted by helicopter to Chandigarh today.
