Model and TV actress Antara Banerjee was detained for attacking an RPF personnel in Aravali Express. She is accused of sitting in a reserved AC coach to go to Surat despite having a sleeper class ticket. After a dispute over a seat, he took off his clothes and attacked the RPF jawan with a razor blade. The matter is of 12th August. After registering the FIR on August 13, Revali GRP gave him a notice and released him on bail. She was sitting in AC coach, refused to leave her seat. According to the police, Antara Banerjee was going to Surat in connection with a shoot. She had a sleeper class ticket, but she sat on the reserved seat of the AC coach. The incident occurred on the night of August 12 between Borivali and Dahanu stations around 9:30 pm to 10:50 pm. When a passenger asked him to vacate the reserved seat, he refused. After this the passenger informed the matter to ticket collector Harikesh Tripathi and RPF. RPF officer was attacked with a blade, his clothes were removed. RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Yamini Kant Mishra told in the complaint that he and constable Rajesh Kumar had come to resolve the dispute. It is alleged that Antara Banerjee misbehaved with the officers and became violent. After this he took off his clothes, waved the razor blade in his hand and injured himself along with ASI Mishra. During this, they also damaged the officer’s uniform and mobile phone. Tried to break the glass, deboarded the train at Dahanu station. Passengers present in the coach got scared during the incident. Seeing the situation worsening, the RPF employees closed the doors of the AC coach. Antara also tried to break the window glass to get out of the train. This entire commotion continued for more than an hour. After this, he was taken off the train at Dahanu railway station and handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP). Released on bail after giving notice, next morning Borivali GRP took Antara into custody. According to Borivali GRP Inspector Kunda Gawde, eyewitnesses said that she may have been under mental stress due to not getting the AC coach ticket. During interrogation, Antara refused to contact her lawyer or family members and demanded that she be arrested. On August 13, the police registered an FIR under sections of endangering security, attacking a government employee and misbehavior. She calmed down after the FIR was registered and was later issued a notice under the Indian Civil Defense Code and released on bail. 31 year old Antara Banerjee, who has worked in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’, was born in a Bengali family of Kolkata. In 2013, she shifted to Mumbai with her parents. He started studying Social Work (BSW) from Nirmala Niketan College, but left his studies midway to pursue acting. He debuted in 2012 with ‘Gumrah: End of Innocence’. In 2014, he entered Bollywood with the film ‘The Shaukeens’. Apart from this, she has been seen in serials like ‘Savdhaan India’, ‘Badho Bahu’, ‘Laal Ishq’, ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’ (role of Suman Shekhar Sharma), ‘Kavach…Mahashivratri’ and ‘Divya Drishti’. She has also worked in the OTT series ‘Ragini MMS Returns 2’ and recently ‘The Last Shot’.
