Kamal Haasan wrote from the official X (first Twitter) account, ‘My heart has trembled. The news coming from Karur is shocking and sad. I do not have words to express my deep condolences to innocent people who lost their lives by getting stuck in the crowd.

Further, Kamal Haasan writes, “I urge the Tamil Nadu government to get proper treatment to the people who were saved from the crowd and provide proper relief to the affected people.”

Expressing grief over the accident, Thalaiva Rajinikanth wrote, ‘The news of innocent people in the incident in Karur shocks the heart and sorrows deeply. Those who lost their lives are my deep condolences to their families.

39 people died in stampede

South actor arrived at a rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, where 39 people were killed due to stampede. According to the Tamil Nadu police, 10,000 people had permission for Vijay’s rally. However, more than 50 thousand people gathered in 1 lakh 20 thousand square feet area. During this, the actor arrived with a delay of 6 hours. Vijay was told that a 9 -year -old girl was missing. He appealed to the stage to find him, after which there was a stampede situation there.

After the accident, actor Vijay reached Trichy Airport directly from Karur and left for Chennai from there. After the news of the death of many people came to light, Vijay wrote on X- ‘My heart is broken. I feel very pain and sorrow. I express my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in Karur and pray for the injured to recover quickly.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin took a high -level meeting at night and reached Karur late at night. Stalin went to the hospital and paid tribute to the dead and met the injured. On the other hand, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a report from the state government regarding the matter. At the same time, Vijay did not meet the injured after the incident. They moved directly from a chartered flight to Chennai.
