All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident that happened with actor Rajesh Sharma on the sets of Prabhas starrer film ‘Fauji’. The association has appealed to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to intervene in this matter so that negligence on the sets can be investigated. Actually, during the shooting in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, actor Rajesh Sharma was bitten by a poisonous insect, due to which the infection in his leg spread till his knee and he had to be admitted to a hospital in Kolkata. According to the doctor, Rajesh Sharma is not out of danger yet. Demand for intervention from CM Revanth Reddy: According to the report of news agency IANS, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has raised the demand for an immediate and transparent investigation into the incident that took place on the sets of the film ‘Fauji’. The association has written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, appealing for a thorough investigation into the matter. The association says that the circumstances should be ascertained due to which the health of actor Rajesh Sharma deteriorated so much. According to doctors, Rajesh Sharma’s condition is stable now, but the infection remains quite serious. Why not admitted to Hyderabad hospital? The association has raised serious questions on the working style of the film’s production team. He asked that when the actor’s condition became so critical during the shooting on the set, why was he not immediately taken to a big hospital in Hyderabad for treatment. The authorities should investigate whether the production team followed the prescribed safety, hygiene and emergency medical rules. It is the moral responsibility of the film industry to provide a safe environment to all the artists and crew members. Producers of the film should bear the entire cost of treatment. AICWA has demanded that the producers of the film ‘Fauji’ should bear the entire cost of treatment of Rajesh Sharma. They should be given the best medical facilities until they recover completely. The association alleged that negligence regarding cleanliness and emergency healthcare has been coming to light on many shooting sets. Crew members and workers are often unable to speak openly on these issues due to fear of losing their jobs. If any negligence is proved in this case, then responsibility should be fixed. The accident happened after packup on the set. According to Sudeepa Chatterjee’s social media post, this incident happened in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Rajesh Sharma was shooting for Prabhas’s upcoming film there. After the shooting was over, he was talking with local technicians in the tree-lined area near the set. During this time, he was bitten by some insect or poisonous spider on his leg. At that time the matter did not seem serious, so he did not seek any medical help immediately and continued working. Fever suddenly increased in flight. About six hours after the insect bite, Rajesh Sharma started having severe pain in his right leg and his health started deteriorating. Even after this he caught a flight to Kolkata. During the journey he developed high fever and became very restless. On reaching Kolkata his condition worsened the next day. After this the family immediately admitted him to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria. It has been more than a day since I was admitted to the hospital. Blisters on feet, danger of clot in lungs. Hospital doctor Abhijeet Bhattacharya said that the worm infection has spread from the toe to the knee. Large blisters have formed on the affected area. According to the doctor, it is too early to say anything clearly about the situation. Rajesh Sharma has been kept under strict observation of doctors. Doctors are worried that infection may cause a blood clot. If this clot reaches the lungs, there can be a danger to life.
