It is claimed that Rs 65 crore was embezzled in the name of cleaning rivers in the state. Moriya’s name came up in this investigation because he is accused of being associated with those contractors and officials. These people are suspected of embezzling government funds given for flood protection and maintenance of drainage system in Mumbai. This development has happened at a time when Dino is also facing investigation in Disha Salian’s death case. Last year, ED had raided Dino’s house. In 2025 also, ED raided 15 places in Mumbai and Kochi, which included Morea’s house. In these raids, those people and organizations were targeted who were associated with the contractors and officials who came under investigation. Investigation revealed that accused Ketan Kadam and Jai Joshi committed the scam in collusion with officials of Matprop Company and officials of Storm Water Drains Department of BMC. When the call records of the main accused in the scam, Ketan Kadam, were examined, the names of actor Dino Morea and his brother appeared in it. Both of them had talked to Ketan Kadam on several occasions. Investigating officers believe that Dino Morea and Ketan are not just friends, but there may also be exchange of money between them. This is the reason why Dino is being interrogated under the ambit of investigation. What was Mithi River Desilting Project Mithi River Desilting Project was started by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and other civic agencies after the 2005 Mumbai floods. The objective of this project was to improve flood management by removing debris and maintaining the river bed. Subsequent investigation found discrepancies between the stated desilting work and the actual work done, raising doubts over the utilization of project funds. The news is being updated….
