Sardar Patel was a great patriot, visionary leader and nation-builder, who did the historic work of unification of the country with his unwavering resolve, indomitable courage and efficient leadership. After the puja, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Unity Parade and National Unity Pledge. The program included guard of honour, flag march and march past led by the parade commander. This time all the contingents of the parade were led by women officers. Police, CAPF, NCC and band units participated in it.
Cavalry and animal contingents also took part in the programme, which would include horse, camel and dog units. Along with this, women weapon drill, unarmed combat demonstration, martial arts, daredevil motorcycle show and NCC demonstration thrilled the audience.
Tableaux, bands and cultural programs
The tableaux of states and armies will reflect the diversity of India. School bands and cultural programs organized by the Ministry of Culture will also be a part of this grand event. The objective of the program is to spread the message of unity, discipline and patriotism across the country.
