The first phase of voting has been completed in Bihar. During this period, a record breaking 64.66 percent voting took place. Generally, high voting is considered an alarm bell for the ruling party. Meanwhile, BJP President JP Nadda expressed confidence that there is no anti-incumbency in Bihar and NDA will return.
I am confident after voting: JP Nadda
In an interview given to Aaj Tak, JP Nadda said, ‘I was confident earlier also and after today’s voting, I am absolutely confident that the Bharatiya Janata Party is coming under the leadership of NDA and the NDA government is coming and forming the NDA government with 160 plus seats.’
On the questions of high voting percentage and anti-incumbency, JP Nadda said, ‘Anti-incumbency is not there anywhere and was not seen anywhere. There is no such thing as anti-incumbency here but there is pro-incumbency. The first thing is that the people of Bihar have shown great enthusiasm towards development. The people of Bihar have woken up and they want to move forward by associating themselves with development and for this they want stability and they want a government which will take Bihar forward by creating a better environment with stability so that we can connect with developed India.
NDA gets votes from all sections of the society
Nadda said, ‘The voting taking place and the high percentage of voting is because people do not want to keep themselves in doubt. They want to decide that Bihar government should come again under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Bihar should get the benefit of the blessings that it is getting from PM Modi. Therefore, there has been a high percentage of voting and that is the vote of pro-incumbency.
