Udhampur police is investigating the matter.

Bodies of two policemen were found in a police van on Sunday morning in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. There were bullet marks on their bodies. According to the officials who came to investigate, the policemen shot each other dead. Police say that this is a matter related to mutual rivalry.

The policemen were going from Sopore to Assistant Training Center in Talwara from Reasi in Jammu region. One of them was a driver and the other was a head constable. The head constable had fired at the driver over some issue before committing suicide. Both the bodies have been sent for postmortem.

A selection grade constable has been slightly injured in this incident, who has been sent for treatment. He is being interrogated regarding the matter.

Attacked with AK-47, then shot himself

According to the police, the accused used his AK 47 rifle in the firing. He was posted in Sopore and was a resident of Kashmir. Quoting preliminary information, it was told that the accused first shot dead his colleague and then committed suicide.
