A BJP leader has been arrested on charges of molesting a minor girl in Uttarakhand’s Almora district. SSP Devendra Pincha said on Sunday that Bhagwat Singh Bora, accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl, was arrested on Saturday night.

This incident took place in Salt revenue area on August 24. The minor girl had gone to graze goats, when the accused was molesting her by giving her a toffee.

Police said that the case was reported on August 30. After this, a case was registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) and Section 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman) of the BNS. The medical test of the victim has also been done.

The party expelled the BJP leader
On the instructions of BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Bhagwat Singh Bora was expelled from the party with immediate effect. Meanwhile, state Congress president Karan Mahara said that the BJP government has given license to its leaders in the matter of atrocities on women.

In the case, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet shared the photo of the accused and said-

This is Bhagwat Bora. He used to call himself BJP Mandal President. He told people that I will take BJP’s policies to the masses. I will take the party to new heights under the guidance of Narendra Modi. Now he has been found tampering.

Teacher sends nude photos to a minor in Uttarakhand
A class 10 student in Haldwani, Uttarakhand has filed a sexual harassment case against her teacher. The 16-year-old girl says that the teacher molested her and sent her nude pictures on WhatsApp and Snapchat. The case came to light on Sunday.

Haldwani Circle Officer Nitin Lohani said that a teacher of a private school was sending obscene messages to a student on social media. We have received a complaint and have started an investigation. The accused will be arrested soon.

10 boys molested 2 women in Uttarakhand

The video was shared on social media platform X.

A case of molestation of two women by 10 boys has come to light in Haldwani, Uttarakhand on August 28. A video viral on social media shows that the girls were going home in their car at night, when a Scorpio tried to block their way. After some time, another car passed by, on both the gates of which two boys were hanging and making lewd comments on the women.

This video has been shared by a user named Prachi Joshi. She wrote that this video has been sent to her by a girl from Haldwani. Prachi has not revealed the names of those two girls, however she has given the entire incident quoting them. After the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, a case of rape of a nursing college student has come to light in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Here an auto driver made the victim unconscious by mixing intoxicants and took her to the forest and raped her. The incident happened on Monday (26 August).
