Iran has said that it will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be used for military action against itself. Iran’s Ambassador to the UN Security Council, Amir-Saeed Iravani, said that Hormuz is related to Iran’s security and national interests. He said, Iran’s actions in Hormuz are in accordance with international law and any kind of interference will not be tolerated. Meanwhile, according to AP reports, America and Iran have agreed on a 60-day ceasefire MoU (Memorandum of Understanding). However, the final approval from US President Donald Trump is still pending. According to reports, the purpose of the agreement is to extend the ceasefire and start formal talks on Iran’s nuclear program. Iran releases Indian sailors- Iran released 10 Indian sailors detained since July 2025 after long diplomatic efforts. All the sailors will return to India soon and are said to be safe at present. 5. Claim to have killed Hamas commander- Israel claimed to have killed the new commander of Hamas military wing, Mohammad Odeh, in an airstrike in Gaza.
