In a recent conversation with the screen, Deepak Dobriyal shared the moments spent on the set of the film ‘Maqbool’. He told an anecdote why Irfan Khan abused Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri.

Deepak told that when the scene of the death of Piyush Mishra’s character was being shot. In this scene, Om Puri had to speak the word ‘Haveli’, but everyone laughed at the pronunciation of his word. Director Vishal Bhardwaj jokingly said that Punjabi touch has come in it. After this, Om Puri and Naseeruddin Shah deliberately started speaking that word in more funny way.

Deepak further explained that the shooting got stuck due to repeated laughter and retake. Irfan, who was deeply immersed in preparation for emotional scene, suddenly abused Om Puri and Naseeruddin Shah. Then immediately apologized and said- ‘I felt that it will be acting by abusing.’
