Today, 50 leaders from Muslim countries have gathered for a special meeting against Israel in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The meeting is called by the Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Its purpose is to respond to the Israeli attack on Qatar on 9 September. 5 members of Hamas and a Katri security officer were killed in this attack.
The attack took place when a team of Hamas was in Doha to talk about the US proposal to end the two years of war in Gaza.
Prior to today’s meeting, Iran’s President Masood Pajakshian has asked Muslim countries to break the relationship with Israel. He appealed to Islamic countries to unite. At the same time, Pakistan suggested all Islamic countries to make a joint force like NATO.
Leaders of more than 50 Islamic countries reached Qatar for the emergency meeting of Islamic cooperation.

On Sunday, foreign ministers of Islamic countries held a meeting in a closed room to take action against Israel in Doha.
During this, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jasim Al Thani strongly condemned the Israeli attack and said that Qatar would take necessary steps to protect his sovereignty.
At the same time, Pakistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that Muslims from all over the world are keeping an eye on this meeting. He referred to the possibility of creating a joint defense force and said that Nuclear Power Pakistan would fulfill its responsibility with the Islamic Community (Ummah).

Qatar criticized the Israeli attack
Qatar criticized Israel after the attack. Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari called it a “cowardly attack” at Hamas’s political headquarters and said that it was a violation of all international laws.
On the other hand, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich praised the action. He had said that terrorists will not get exemption from Israel anywhere in the world.
While writing on X, he praised the Israeli Army (IDF) and the Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet “right decisions and accurate targets” and said that “terrorists would never get any discount from Israel’s long hands.”

Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon defended the Israeli attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar at the UN General Assembly on Friday. He said that on 9 September, Israel had made an accurate attack in Doha. The attack was carried out by Hamas leaders, who have been planning attacks against Israel for years.
He insisted that these people were not any valid politicians or diplomats, but were the masterminds of terror, who planned a massacre in Israel on 7 October 2023. They killed common people, kidnapped children and raped women.
